Screw expanders are pressure reduction machines used to convert energy in compressed media into mechanical power. The mechanical power can then be used for generation of electricity or to drive other mechanical machines e.g. compressors. SRM Screw expanders can be used in the power range from 15 to 1600 kW.
SRM Screw expanders can be produced with or without injection of liquid into the expansion chamber. However, bearings will always use oil for lubrication.
